The establishment of a CC Kenya chapter is a high priority for Creative Commons in 2012-2013. This meeting is intended as a major catalyst in this process. A number of high profile attendees from the university and government sectors have been lined up to attend, and it is anticipated that the outcome of the meeting will be a commitment from at least one entity towards the establishment of a formal affiliate. Creative Commons will ensure that any required follow up will be achieved.
