Wikipedia education Program in Egypt is one the biggest and most successful program in the whole world and we want to encourage the student to present better quality and quantity of content on Wikipedia Increasing Participation and decreasing the gender gap.

The Education program volunteers and professors encourage new students to create user accounts and edit Wikipedia.

  1. Wikipedia Education Program expands to new campuses in Cairo
  2. Egyptian students made the most contributions to the Arabic Wikipedia in 2014
  3. Egyptian students help narrow gender gap on Wikipedia
  • To make Wikipedia a household name and an online Wikipedia known to the average female student in a Universities.
  • To get at least 30 new active female contributors for Wikipedia.
  • Create new articles and develop existing stubs or articles for every Girl.

Note: In addition to your project-specific measures of success, you will also be asked to report on some global metrics at the end of your final report. Please keep this in mind as you plan, and we'll support you as you begin your project.
