Project idea edit

What is the problem you're trying to solve? edit

While users visit the site hundreds of times, it does not lead them to their favourite topics in their specific field of interest. Nor does it inform about new entries/update in their field

What is your solution? edit

As an access point to the main Wikipedia content, users will login to a start page which customizes their choices and better reflects their tastes i.e. background colour, appearance, font size, keeps a history log of topics seen and tailors future suggestions accordingly. Thus if a user wishes to re-visit a topic consulted after 10-15 days, it will be far easier and quicker to start from the point the user left last. An added feature will be something like StumbleUpon [or UCmore but without strings or hiccups] as an easy way to offer new, interesting yet relevant things from across Wikipedia, Wikimedia, Wikiversity, Wikibooks and related platforms [like a blog roll on the side which gets updated periodically].
