In 2008, I wrote a tool, find link, for adding links between articles in Wikipedia. Given an article title it will find other articles that could link to it. It works by using the Wikipedia search engine, then filtering out results that already include a link.

Find link with cantilever bridge as an example. [1]
Abstract

I plan to talk about why I created the tool, how it works and things I've learned while working on it.

  1. How to use the tool to add links to Wikipedia.
  2. What is involved with building tools for Wiki editing.
