I've tried not to comment on any other submissions as it might be seen as a conflict of interest, since I have entries etc, but I just wanted to say that this is a nice organic logo...and well executed as well.
Circle theme continuing, w/i combined theme there (where have I seen that before! ;)), and a non-rigid form which I have trouble doing. I like symmetry and form and geometrics, so my designs tend to be "constructed" instead of "grown".
Is there any symbolism here?

- Thanks for the nice comments -- I also tend to only make positive comments on other submissions for the same reason. :) And yes, I have to admit I was inspired by the "other" logo regarding the "W" and the "i".
- Regarding the symbolism, not much -- just the colour, trying to convey serenity, the "complex" and "organic" shape trying to symbolize the similar treats of Wikipedia and the two discs growing from the same root trying to convey a feeling of multitude (of topics in Wikipedia). -- Gutza 09:14 31 Jul 2003 (UTC)

- Yes, I thought of that too, that's why I used that organic shape instead of a clear "W" -- I like to think that shape is flexible enough to not be so intrinsically tied to "W" (e.g. a flying bird). -- Gutza 09:14 31 Jul 2003 (UTC)

huh!? ohh please...it's not wether nice comments or not . that's not the point, just be real, be honest and stop this kissing in the arse crap. were just trying to find a solution to the logo problem. if I hurt your feelings, sorry.

I think this logo is ideal if Wikipedia ever wants to (travel back in time and) become a label for happy hardcore rave music ;) I think it's very pretty, but it seems to be lacking in any sort of meaning. -- Tl
