Summary
DescriptionUnchain My Art - Exhibition Documentation 1.jpg |
English: Unchain My Art is the name of an exhibition curated by artist Einat Amir. The exhibition is a result of an academic course that took place in HaMidrasha – The faculty of Arts Beit Berl College. The students explored different ways they could use WikiCommons for their art, searching for inspiration among the 33 million files. By the end of the process, each student / group of students gathered their favorite files and created an artwork out of them. Using different artistic techniques such as merging the files, appropriating them and re - making some of the images, the students made a pioneering exhibition, that was created specifically for the wikicommons platform, as well as a physical exhibition that is documented here. Participating artists: Alina Deckel, Gad Kozitz, Hadar Reuven, Hani Khatib, Navah Uzan, Gilat Elkaslasi and Moran Victoria Sabag, Ronit Citri, Shulamit Bialy, Sima Kirshner and Vardit Goldner. |
