Summary

Description
English: Our Sun, image was captured in extremely short-wafe UV light by the Solar Orbiter spacecraft, launched in 2020. In this wavelength range, the vororna - the outer, much hotter layer of the solar atmosphere - becomes visible. Plasma from the Sun can be seen flowing along magnetic fielt lines and erupting through the corona. Mean distanze: 149,6 million km, Equatorial radius 696 342 km
