Description
English: Musée de Bretagne, Collection Arts graphiques Vue des deux rives de la Penfeld et de l'avant-port de l'arsenal, au niveau du château, où sont amarrés des navires de guerre : celui de gauche est une frégate de calibre 24 à double bouteille, vraisemblablement la "Virginie" lancée en 1842 à Rochefort et rayée des listes de flotte en 1881. Le bâtiment de droite est un vaisseau à 100 canons, soit le "Tage", "L'Eléphant" ou "l'Ulm". A l'aplomb des murs de la citadelle sont mises à sécher des chemises. Au premier plan, des blocs et pièces de charpenterie démantelés.
