Description
Русский: Символ III Финно-угорского вики-семинара 2016 разработан на основе символики Wikimedia, новой символики Wikipedia 15. Использованы шрифты Google Fonts Open Sans Condensed и Open Sans Bold.

Символ имеет форму одного из финно-угорских тимпанов. Идея взята из поздних росписей тимпанов (барабанов), которые наносят на кожу, обтягивающую барабан с помощью краски из коры ольхи.

Центральной композицией являются сани, на которых сидят два человека, символизирующие две группы финно-угорских народов: финскую (финно-пермскую) и угорскую.

В каждой группе 4 и 2 подгруппы соответственно (четыре и две красных точки). Над головами - 22 и 7 названия народов соотвественно. Для других, неизвестных народов оставлены свободные поля для точек.

Над санями с народами - буква W - обновленный логотип всемирной энциклопедии Wikipedia, появившийся благодаря юбилею 15 лет. Буква означает, что Википедия (и другие проекты Викимедиа) объединяет и сохраняет, насколько это возможно, наследие народов уральской группы.

В нижней части знака - название семинара на английском языке и логотип Wikimedia Foundation.
