FII team members have presented their work on the #FIIWikiProject at various national and international conferences. Below is a list of the same:
1. RightsCon 2017
editRightsCon is an annual conference on human rights in the digital age organised by Access Now. Founder-Director of FII Japleen Pasricha gave a Lightning Talk at RightsCon 2017 in Brussels on 30th March 2017. The talk was titled 'Women in Wikipedia: How to Organise Wikipedia Edit-a-thons' and revolved around why FII organises regular monthly Wikipedia editathons to bridge the systemic gender gap on Wikipedia and why it's important for women to edit on Wikipedia. 2. Digital Citizen Summit 2017
editDigital Citizen Summit is an annual conference organised by Digital Empowerment Foundation on internet rights, culture and society in New Delhi, India. FII's Campaign Manager Asmita Ghosh hosted a workshop on 21st September 2017 on how to organise a Wikipedia edi-a-thon and went through the basics of organizing a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, as well as the need to have more women editing on Wikipedia. 3. Asia-Pacific Feminist Forum 2017
editThe Asia Pacific Feminist Forum (APFF) is a participatory event bringing together activists, women human rights defenders, academics, lawyers, and global allies organised by Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development. The third APFF was organised in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 7-9th September 2017, where Japleen Pasricha conducted a short workshop on 'Women in Wikipedia'.
