Event:Africa Youth Month 2023
Africa Youth Month 2023 features under the African Union's theme ''1 million Next Level is knocking: Youth-led Movement that Transcends Borders.'' We celebrate young African Wikimedians and their communities for commemorating the Africa Youth Day, one of the African Union holidays for the third time in a row in the Wikimedia movement.
In the past 3 years, young people in the African Wikimedia communities and diaspora have been participating in the implementation of the 1 Million Next Level Initiative by building activities and free knowledge relating to Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Engagement and Health and Wellbeing in the digital space. As young people accompany their Wikimedia communities in Africa and diaspora to continue on the journey of the 1 Million Next Level Initiative, we reflect on the knowledge we have built and shared as a community and the youth walking the talk.
The theme of this year's Africa Youth Month, '1 million Next Level is knocking: Youth-led Movement that Transcends Borders'' is an open call to African youth to define the local knowledge relating to Education, Engagement, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Health and Wellbeing that is important for their community to share with the world in the digital space. If you would want any such knowledge to transcend your community, what would it be?
