My candidate statement | My involvement in Wikimedia can't be too different from the lot of other reasons that my collegues have explain. Since the correspondence, claims and the Communications Committee to represented WMF to brazilian press, in presentations, and to organizations that need increase or share the WM objectives. It's my deep opinion that the word will change much more in next years over the "information society" (read: Internet) that in last 500 year. I'm sure that we must think about the kids that are come and how they can access a trust information in this infinity source.
My objectives: MUST be shared with the candidates collegues, onde they are smart and think to make our comunity better. So, sorry if I copy some parts. This isn't a ault: this is a share in our point of view... -Increase the visibility and utility from WMF to word, maintain contact with and participation in the community of editors, and consider the concerns of all projects in Brazil and South America. -Establish clearer guidelines on the relationship between WMF and this community with roles, rights and responsibilities -Seek out skilled persons for needed tasks that add value and help the word to recognize the WMF importance -Take an active and responsible role in WMF decisions about your participation and informations from Brazil and South America -Encourage research in order to better focus our efforts -Develop partnerships between the WMF and organizations who can help further our mission -Support and defend our mission to provide and produce free copylefted content -Inform the worldwide community about Wikimedia and its mission and projects through public involvement I MUST agree with other points like: About the board of directors they set up a decisionmaking structure rather than to make individual decisions itself -To review financial, legal, and personnel matters on an ongoing basis -To respect the independence of each project and language -To refrain from major changes that could jeopardize the success we have already achieved -To advise officers, paid staff, and volunteers working for the Foundation -I believe the role of the foundation should develop and provide a financial and legal framework for the operation of Wikipedia and its sister projects -To be a trust voice to the public in matters such as press and donor relations where unity is important I respect the international nature of the Foundation and think that we must speak one language for each culture other than English I have travel a lot and live in an wonderful city that leave me go to any point in the world. Mybe I can't be able to attend all board-related events in person but will be ready to represent it for all |
