Résumé : De nouveaux programmes axés sur l'éducation aux médias ont débuté en février 2024 à l'Université Charles de Prague et au lycée professionnel de Luhačovice.

University course of Media Literacy for future librarians

Department of Library and Information Science of Charles University was inspired by similar department at Masaryk University in Brno, so they decided to start their own course. Students write Wikipedia articles related to media literacy and of course – they find out, how to write and encyclopedic article as well.

High school workshops started in Luhačovice Vocational School

Another situation arised in Luhačovice. After successful application for funding at Open Society Fund (OSF), Vocational School in Luhačovice opened a series of workshops aimed at media literacy. Anděla Krumpholcová invited Pavel Bednařík, chief tutor and lecturer of WMCZ, to teach and advice students in writing media related articles at Wikipedia. Opening lesson took place on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024.

Series of articles will be ready in April 2024, after consultations and feedback.
