18.00 – 20.30	Dinner Optional Bangkok street food tour organized by local Thai volunteers. Dinner will be at participants’ own costs and reimbursed post-event.

Saturday, 29 June 2019 - Movement Strategy edit

08.30 – 10.30	Opening Session In this opening session, we will all connect over icebreaker games, review expectations and goals for the event, and learning about how the process around designing our shared global future connects to who we are as an ESEAP region.
10.30 – 11.00	Break with coffee and snacks
11.00 – 12.30	REAL CASES PART 01 In this session, we will break into groups - first by country, and then mixed - to share and explore stories about our work as Wikimedians. What have been meaningful roadblocks and opportunities for your work in your country? What needs to change so that we are better empowered at the country and regional level?
12.30 – 13.30	Lunch
13.30 – 15.00	REAL CASES PART 02 In this session, we will repeat the same activity from the pre-lunch period, but in different groups. This will help us to have a broad sense of our similar challenges and opportunities as a region, and help us develop a vision for where we should be headed.
15.00 – 15.30	Break with coffee and snacks
15.30 – 17.00	REGIONAL REV-UP Having shared our individual stories throughout the day, now it’s time to move around and have some fun as we think about our shared ESEAP future! We’ll do a shared visioning and discussion activity, followed by a debrief of the day and expectation setting for Sunday.
17.00 – 19.30	Free time / Fringe Event: Wikimania 2020, hosted by ESEAP Meetup
19.30 – 21.30	Dinner at Tree House Restaurant

Sunday, 30 June 2019 - Movement Strategy edit

08.30 – 10.30	WIKIMEDIA 2030 - OUR GLOBAL FUTURE Here, we will revisit our global vision for 2030, review our thematic areas, and do an interactive exercise that helps us think boldly about designing recommendations for the future. THEMATIC AREAS REGIONAL PART 01 After our vision exercise, it’s time to break up into fixed groups around various thematic areas. In each group, we will try to answer the following questions based on our work the day before: What are the main blockers for the change we seek in our region by 2030? What are the main opportunities for the change we seek in our region by 2030? What global structures and systems relate to these issues? What are the changes we seek? Why? What tradeoffs are (or are not) acceptable to see this change realized?
10.30 – 11.00	Break with coffee and snacks
11.00 – 12.30	THEMATIC AREAS REGIONAL PART 02 We will continue our thematic discussions, with the option for participants to change groups before we begin. RECOMMENDATION DRAFTING PART 01 We will now begin drafting global recommendations in our break out groups to be shared with Working Groups, according to each thematic area.
12.30 – 13.30	Lunch
13.30 – 15.00	DRAFT RECOMMENDATION FEEDBACK/ENRICHMENT After lunch, it’s time to share feedback on the draft recommendations from other groups. Using an Open Space Technology method, we will circulate around the room and give comments to the work of other groups. RECOMMENDATION DRAFTING PART 02 Now, participants will choose one group for the full period and work to draft formal recommendations where conclusions have been reached.
15.00 – 15.30	Break with coffee and snacks
15.30 – 17.00	PRESENTING RECOMMENDATIONS Volunteers for each thematic area will present to the entire group the recommendation(s) that they created. NEXT STEPS Here, we will discuss our internal action steps, both as countries and as a region. We will exchange key information and identify who will do what to help our region grow and develop now that the event is concluding. CLOSING In our final group gathering, we will review what happens next and how we will stay connected around our new shared vision for the future.
