WikiBanua: The Way to Unite Community Members

Abstract/description

Wikimedia Indonesia provided funding to the Wikimedia Banjar Community in the second half of 2023 for the "WikiBanua" project, which consists of three different types of activities: "WikiPuluran" (which documented traditional Banjar snacks), "WikiBarakat" (which documented the graves of several South Kalimantan figures), and "WikiBatang" (which documented rivers in Banjarmasin City).From these activities, with the variety of knowledge we have regarding Wikimedia projects, we have documented these activities via Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Indonesian Wikipedia, and Banjarese Wikipedia, which in the future will be useful for many people.

Relationship to ESEAP or to the theme

WikiBanua, and other activities funded by Wikimedia, can enable community members to contribute fully to Wikimedia projects. Apart from that, this activity can spur awareness of diversity in the ESEAP region.
