Together Expanding Wikipedia: Experiences of Partnerships in Competitions

Abstract/description

Wikimedia Indonesia is well-known for conducting various writing competitions on Wikipedia. As the competitions attracted participants, many organizations and institutions wanted to collaborate with us as a part of their outreach programs. These collaborations results in more competition that beneficial to all parties.

In this session, we want to share our experiences during cooperation with our partner. The competitions can be used to advocate essential issues such as human rights or Covid-19, which both our partner and Wikimedia movement are concerned about. In addition, we will share best practices when partnering with other organizations to maintain cordial relations with them.
