On 12 August 2021, an introductory meet-up session was held online on the Google Meetup app for about 40 minutes. The user group was introduced briefly to the attendees and several strategies were discussed.

- Deoband Community Wikimedia was introduced briefly to the attendees.
- For the first year (2021-22), focus mostly on the available articles on English Wikipedia and Urdu Wikipedia, and improve them with content, images, and copyediting.
- Reach new people, who write on the associated subjects and help them to edit Wikipedia and contribute, through online training programs and video tutorials.
- To reach former students of Darul Uloom Deoband, Madrasa Shahi and other major seminaries, and help them edit on the Wikipedias in the languages they know, for example, the Gujarati, Hindi and Punjabi Wikipedia.
- To contribute with calligraphic images for the respective biographical entries.
