Deoband Community Wikimedia (abreviado como DCW) é um grupo de usuários da Wikimedia. Seu nome vem do seminário islâmico Deoband e visa melhorar a Wikipedia e seus projetos irmãos com conhecimento e informações relacionadas à: academia, bolsa de estudos, história e cultura muçulmana global, em nível global, em qualquer idioma.

Estabelecido em 31 de julho de 2021, o DCW foi reconhecido pelo Comitê de Afiliação em 16 de janeiro de 2022. Suas iniciativas incluem DCW Conversation Hour, Heritage Lens e iniciativas colaborativas em projetos como Deoband Yoruba Collaborative Project e DCW-K Editathon. Em janeiro de 2024, a DCW lançou a primeira edição do Wiki Loves Muslim Academia.

- 15-03-2025: Voting for 2025 Board Elections is open. Community members are requested to cast their vote by 23:59, 25 March 2025 IST.
- 08-03-2025: The 27th DCW Conversation Hour, focusing on Learnings and Reflections from the Wikimedia Alliances Fund, is scheduled on 16 March 2025 at 11:00 AM IST. The conversation features Jacqueline Chen, who is part of the Community Resources team and works closely with the Community in ESEAP and SA regions. Registration is mandatory: register from here.
- 19-02-2025: A rapid grant request has been submitted to the Wikimedia Foundation for supporting our activities from April 2025 to September 2025. Endorsement and feedback is requested from the community.
History
Deoband Community Wikimedia was established on 31 July 2021, and recognised by the Affiliations Committee on 16 January 2022. It focusses on everything related to Muslim academia, history, culture, heritage and scholarship.
DCW does not limit itself to any specific language. It focuses on its theme that transcends all the languages and as such it tries to form collaborations with the language affiliates of Wikimedia Foundation and external organisations in order to disseminate knowledge related to its theme at a global level. The Deoband Yoruba Collaborative Project was formed on 25 June 2022 to promote the theme on Yoruba language Wikipedia.
DCW actively participates in movement governance and transformational leadership in global education. In September 2022, the DCW Conversation Hour was initiated as an open conversation hour. It was subsequently standardised in March 2023 and since then happens once in a month discussing issues that affect the global free knowledge movement.
