1. Experiences and best practices from earlier work with content partnership?

Partnering with Goethe institute. Training and workshops in exchange for facilities and prizes for competition winners Kenya Library, they have a huge network and reach out far. They also provide notebooks and pens. WikiGap with the Swedish embassy once, but hoping to do it again this year. Museum in Lamu around a photo contest. Help with funding and resources to be able to participate.

2. What are the main needs in future and expanding work with partners?

One need is outreach. Hard to get people outside of Nairobi to participate. Localized forums for participants to discuss problems and local issues. Funding and space for events are available most of the time, so that is not an issue. Need to work out where outside of Nairobi focus should be directed. Some focus this year on universities to partner with them. They offer both networks (students) and spaces for events. Some work with uploads and content to Commons have been done, but not as much with Wikidata. More technical training would be needed. NGOs, both gender based and environmental focused could be future partners. See if they are running events where it would be possible to tag along.

3. What would a good and efficient support practically look like?

Office hours available for different time zones would be a great support. More training, i.e. Wikidata, source editing, moving around in different projects, would be great. Hybrid training, both on- and off-line to also build community. Calling people to action on social media, to spark interest among followers. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are the biggest sources for building community. Telegram is picking up in getting more users. Hubs can provide an opportunity to learn and provide further support.
