  • WMCZ had organized a General Assembly (GA) on the begging of January 2011, where completely new Board and new Auditing Committee (AC), where elected. There were 4 new members of the Board and 2 new members of AC. One chair was left empty in each organ for the future voting. On this GA the report (Annual Report) of the former Board and a report of AC was agreed by the members, Financial Report was not submitted, thus GA gave assignment to the new Board to complete it and release it by April 14, 2011.
  • WMCZ members also met Anna and Sebastian coming with an offer to become the part of OGDN. This was later adopted by the board and WMCZ started to work on assignments.
  • We organized a Magnus Manske Day and we worked on the grants of WMF, trying to set up them.

  • WMHU applied for a state operating expenses grant in February. The grant that previously covered 12-month periods, this year only covers the July-September 2011 period, significantly detracting from its usefulness. If successful, the grant could cover the development costs of making CiviCRM compatible with our bank's online banking system.

  • After the success of last year, WMNL organized another board interest meeting this year. It was a good opportunity for potential candidates for the board to familiarize themselves with the association, board work and/or other potential candidates.
  • On 19/20 February Wikimedia Nederland had a strategy weekend in Zeist. The meeting is part of the Wikimedia Nederland strategy process, which is facilitated by Anna Royon-Weigelt. The strategy process was already planned, and has been fit into a pilot project for chapter strategy processes by Anna and Sebastian Moleski. A report of the outcomes and the process following this weekend will be sent to the members.

  • Finalized finances and paypal conflicts for 2010 fundraiser, WMAT's share from the last fundraiser share exceeded 30K EUR.

  • January - started 1% tax deducible fundraising campaign - separate agreement discussed and signed with WMF, central-notice banners and fundraising website [1] created.
  • 19 March: General Assembly took place: 3 new board members chosen, 2010 board's report and financial report accepted, minor changes (required by Polish law to keep tax deducible status) to bylaws voted and accepted, preliminary budget for 2011 discussed and accepted [2]
  • 30 March - tax deducible report (general and financial) published and sent to tax office and Ministry of Social Affairs (as required by law). See: [3], [4] and [5].

  • Held board annual meeting on March 26'11 in Nordiska Museet, Stockholm, Minutes available in Swedish.
  • Delivered financial report to WMF on revenue raise by WMSE after the first participation in the community giving fundraisier. WMSE raised 299 887,72 SEK in donations from 1382 donors, with an average of 216 SEK per donor.

  • WMCZ has elected on its January GA 4 new members of the board: user:Juan de Vojníkov (chair), user:Jirka O. (vice-chair), user:Milda and user:Frettie. 2 new auditing committee members were elected: user:Krvesaj (chair) and user:Zákupák. Also two new members entered two the Chapter, while other left on the end of March. The Chapter had around 30 members. After finding errors in the January's GA precis, Board annunciate new GA scheduled on April 16, 2011. Two members had attended Chapters meeting in Berlin.

  • Wikimedia Hungary's first self-owned server was delivered in February. After our hosting contract commences, the server will serve a number of projects: running WikiTrust and other analytical software, bots and so on. Our hope is to be able to use the server to gather useful statistics.

  • Wikimedia Österreich is considering several solutions to improve the financial admin of the chapter, including getting a better software that can handle real accounting with accounts and budgets and can hook up with the bank account is one option, another option is is to outsource the accounting completely.

  • Office, toolservers and 1 employe maintained as in 2010, toolserver used for various tasks - 1% tax deducible website, KOED website [6], internal wiki, Polish Wikipedia ArbCom wiki, test wiki, several bots and scripts, several E-mail lists, etc.
  • Accounting transfered from Chorzów (home city of treasuer) to Łódź (city in which we have office). New accountant (part time) chosen and employed on April 5th.
  • 6 new members joined.

  • WMSE looking for contractors to do work similar to what Liam Wyatt did at the British Museum but this time with the theme Internet in Sweden, a project we received funds from .SE, the top domain name registrator in Sweden.
  • Continued their work with CiviCRM, integrating it with the Swedish online payment system we use, and reported a few bugs to CiviCRM. We also made it possible for members to update their contact details themselves through CiviCRM.

  • In January we had celebrated 10 years of Wikipedia via a concert of classical music, organized especially for this event. It was recorded and these recordings of old Czech masters will be available via Commons. On the anniversary, we were also interviewed by numerous mass media reporters.
  • The board started to use TeamSpeak for the board meetings. Some members continued their cooperation with GLAM and educational institutions.

  • After the success of last year, Wiki Loves Monuments will go Europe in 2011! Many countries have indicated that they want to participate this time, and coordination is being set up. Lodewijk has participated a brainstorm meeting in Cologne by German Wikimedians to organize their event and also in other countries much progress is being made. Check details.
  • A stamtafel has been organized again. The food was served cold - suggestions for a new location are welcome!
  • Lodewijk has presented Wiki Loves Monuments at the Bangalore Wikimeet via Skype on February 13.

  • Wikimedia Österreich agreed to give 4 scholarships for Slovak Wikimedians to attend Wikimania 2011 in Haifa this summer

  • January: Labpstryk - a project aimed to make a profesional photographs of lab equipment made together with Max-Planck-Institut für molekulare Zellbiologie und Genetik performed. More than 400 pictures uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. See: [7].
  • February: VII edditon of Wikigrants started.
  • March: Decission to join Wiki Loves Monuments. User:Odder chosen to be a coordination of the project. Websites on Wikimedia Polska wiki, Commons, Polish Wikipedia, and independent WordPress based website created [8]. Contacts with National Heritage Organisation established. List of monuments in preparation.
  • January/March: Wikiksiążki project continued. Books based on Wikipedia/Wikibooks/Commons content about Marie Curie and EU for kindergadens in preparation.

  • Wikimedia Sverige receiving fund from the Internet Fund to launch the project "Internet in Sweden". A three-month long project dedicated to evaluating articles quality on Swedish Wikipedia and proposing possible improvements.
