Discussion
editJust an FYI that we have discussed internally a potential clash with a WMF Fundraising banner for Japan, and we're fine to defer to that banner during the overlapping request time. RStallman (WMF) (talk) 00:24, 11 February 2023 (UTC)

edit- @RStallman (WMF): I've created campaign and banner in accordance to the additional information received by email. You can check the preview here. There you can see, that I did some minor changes: “The Wikimedia Foundation” instead of “The Foundation” for clarification reasons. Furthermore, I've activated the campaign for all languages because this ToU change affects all communities and not only those which you were targeting here (likely because you will provide translations yourself here). But people on other projects can help with translations, too. I have activated that functionality in the banner. You can submit your translations into these languages here, just change to the target language. Of course, you can invite translators from around the world to submit further translations before the campaign will start. I will enable the campaign when you confirm the settings and preview. Please ping me. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 09:18, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for your help! I'll run the details by our team and respond again if anything needs to be tweaked or if we're ready to go for when the comment period begins on February 21st. RStallman (WMF) (talk) 23:18, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello again, DerHexer. The team approves of the banner. Thank you! There is a tweak to the dates of the campaign. We'd like it to begin on February 22nd instead of the 21st to make sure all of the content is definitely up when we send people to review it, and ending one day earlier on April 20th. When inviting translators, do I make a post on Meta:Babel with a link to this page? Thanks for your advice! My first go at this. RStallman (WMF) (talk) 00:27, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- @RStallman (WMF): I didn't see your message until now. I've enabled it (and saw the other communications elsewhere). —DerHexer (Talk) 18:13, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
