Discussion
editHi @Rhododendrites, Legoktm, and Firefly:!
Is there photo credit in the top right of the banner really necessary? The image apparently is a winner from 15 years ago, and it's is a strange way to credit: nowadays, we would just add the photographers name, right? In CentralNotice banners normally there is no credit for the image the banner uses, but ìf we do this, we imho should do it correct to set the right example. edit- I can take care of this. —DerHexer (Talk) 17:52, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites, Legoktm, and Firefly: Please check the campaign, banner and preview. As soon as you approve it, I can enable the campaign. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:02, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: the timing of the banner and preview looks good to me! I assume the banner diet is the same as last year, so that should be fine. Legoktm (talk) 19:08, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Banner looks good to me. I don't know what the diet was last year, so can't really comment, but whatever you think makes sense is good! Thanks for taking care of this. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 23:16, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, I enabled it. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 23:58, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Awesome, thank you! Legoktm (talk) 01:46, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, DerHexer. Do you foresee problems with round 2 scheduled around the same time as the sound logo voting? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 03:05, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Well, you should definitely raise this topic on CentralNotice/Request/Wikimedia Sound Logo contest 2. I'm sure that we will find a good solution for both campaigns. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 08:33, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

- @Rhododendrites, Legoktm, Firefly, and DerHexer: for this or future years we might want to consider creating a new round 1 banner based on this or this that I created in 2020 but never switched over to. Seddon (talk) 01:44, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Seddon sounds good to me! firefly ( t · c ) 07:57, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sure. I enable what fits best to the organizers. If they want to have it changed this year, I can try my best to do that now. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 15:38, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: hi, I just want to make sure we're all set for the Round 2 banner, which is from 1 December 2022 → 15 December 2022 (some overlapping with the Sound Logo banner, which we'll share 50/50, as discussed on that request). Legoktm (talk) 16:35, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Legoktm: Well, actually, no. ;D But now the campaign and banner are created. Please check that and the preview. Once you've approved it, I can enable the campaign. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 17:11, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Good thing I pinged then. It looks good to me, thank you! Legoktm (talk) 02:18, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- Done. —DerHexer (Talk) 07:32, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, we just got the Vector 2022 skin on nlwp last week, and the banner and dropdown menu in the top are crossing each other with text from the banner coming through the drop down, see File:POTD banner nlwiki Vector 2022 issue 2022-12-01.png. This only happens with the current banner, not with the one for round 1. Ciell (talk) 11:20, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: my Dutch wiki-colleague is saying this is because of the z-index: "Het ligt zo te zien aan de z-index in de CSS. Die van de vertaaltekst is veel te hoog (98).". Ciell (talk) 20:08, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
