Description - Beginning of June 2022, the Kartographer extension will become usable on German Wikipedia. WMDE's Technical Wishes team wants to raise awareness for this tool, explain how it works, and inspire users to start creating more maps on German Wikipedia.

Wikimedia Deutschland's Fundraising Tech team will implement the banner. (via Kai Nissen (WMDE), see also phab:T308229)

@Johanna Strodt (WMDE) and DerHexer: It appears that the Kartensaison_2022 banner is throwing client errors when users close the banner.

@Seddon: Thanks a lot for the report. Our developer is working on the fix right now. Quote:

"It's already fixed and re-uploaded. "Just waiting a minute for the front end cache to clear and I'll re-activate it"
