Discussion
edit- @Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL): Usually we let campaigns rund for two weeks, with few exceptions for three or four weeks. Does it make sense to let it run for so long? Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:25, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. We need at least 50 users to come to Warsaw for 4 days. What's important: these are working days, so people have to call for days off at work, discuss plans with families, plan their journey in advance. I've got an idea: let us start around 18-20 august for 2 weeks, and we'll see how successful the campaign is. If we register enough participants, we'll stop. If not, we'll ask for extension. Will it be ok? Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL) (talk) 16:00, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
Central Notice admin comments
edit- @Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL): Unfortunately, we need banners in JavaScript and CSS. We cannot make use of photos as you were linking them. I would have given you early feedback on this but wasn't pinged. Now at Wikimania without much time, I tried to rebuild the banner as much as my skills allowed me to, unfortunately the two logos didn't work as in other banners. I don't have enough time at Wikimania to get it fixed. Please let me know if you are okay with just one of the logos (which one?), if you prefer rescheduling or involvement of other CentralNotice administrators (although I don't know if that will work out).
You can find the campaign settings here and there the draft for the banner. Please check the preview and approve what you can approve. After that, I can enable the campaign. Please always ping me. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 07:43, 15 August 2023 (UTC)- @DerHexer Thank you for the feedback. We'll deliver the file in JavaScript and CSS asap. - @DerHexer @Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL) I've created a banner code based on the image attached above. It's available at: User:Msz2001/Guinness banner and I've made some screenshots with a preview of it at different screen widths: https://imgur.com/a/u2KTxTL. Msz2001 (talk) 17:50, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Msz2001 thank you so much!
- @DerHexer I've changed the dates in the request to suit them to the current situation. It’s 21 August to 3 September. Shall I do anything else to start the campaign? Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL) (talk) 10:53, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL) and Msz2001: Thanks for the update. I've changed it accordingly and enabled the campaign. Please ping me if you need any other help. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 00:56, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- @DerHexer Thank you so much for your help. The banner looks good and it's working! Number of participants is increasing Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL) (talk) 11:08, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Grzegorz Kopaczewski (WMPL): The campaign ended yesterday, but you wanted to check whether an extension is needed. What's the current status of the campaign? Can I mark it as closed? Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 10:08, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
