Central Notice Admin comments edit

  • @Giselle Bordoy (WMAR): & @MarcoAurelio:, I am extremely concerned at how over reliant Wikimedia Argentina have become on Central Notice. Usage has been at 100% almost continuously for the last year and potentially longer. CentralNotice is not designed for this level of use and constant use has been expressly stated in the usage guidelines since they were created in 2012. It results in banner blindness and seriously undermines the effectiveness of the tool. I must ask Giselle that you rethink your strategy in terms of how CentralNotice is being used by your chapter. • I have nothing to say to that, I'm just the butler doing the job. —MarcoAurelio 19:50, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
* Hi Jseddon (WMF), sorry if we caused any problems for how we use the tool. It was always to promote the participation of our community , often on issues related to our strategy. We are stopping using the resource and from now ongoing, we will use it in a timely manner. For now you can cancel the banner we were asking .
