Many minority languages are not written and have been transmitted orally from generations. Since Wikimedia claims that it gathers all knowledge of humanity, it does not feel that these languages receive the same treatment as their written counterparts. Unfortunately, the hierarchization of languages based on their "written or not" status is a blocker for accessing knowledge for millions of people. A discussion about involving an Oral Wikipedia is necessary if the true aim that Wikimedia strives to achieve is to "make knowledge available for everyone in all languages".
