After successful relicensing movement in Maharashtra, CIS-A2K has started working on this concept in Goa state in partnership with authors, copyright holders, academic institutes and language organisations. First Jnanapith awardee author in Konkani, Ravindra Kelekar's 20 books were relicensed by his son Girish at Priyol in Goa. On 27 August, his death anniversary, first batch of 6 books were uploaded on Wikimedia Commons. The digitisation was done by LeK Ladki Abhiyan's centre at Satara.
Ravindra kelekar was renowned Gandhian activist, writer, thinker and freedom fighter. He worked relentlessly for Goa liberation and Konkani language movement. Around 100 books in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English written by him will be released in coming months.
Nagnathanna Naikwadi was an Indian independence activist, social worker, politician and educationist, known for his revolutionary activism during the Indian independence struggle. He was an associate of Nana Patil during the Quit India movement and together they established Prati Sarkar, a parallel government, in Satara-Sangli region of Maharashtra and indulged in armed struggle against the British. The Nagnthanna Memorial trust has approached CIS-A2K to build an archive on Wikimedia projects. The meetings were held with trustees at office in Walwa, Sangli to initiate the process. The relicensing of four books was done in the first phase. The scanning of these books is in process.
