The meeting with Secretary of Shetkari Trust and three other members was held at Village Ambethan in Pune district to discuss the content donation & archive project. Sharad Joshi was farmers' leader, thinker, politician and writer in India.
Background
editFounder Sharad Joshi has transferred all rights of his literature & archive of Shetkari Sangatana to Secretary - Suresh Mhatre. It contains 25+ books in Marathi, English & Hindi, photographs and video films. In this initial meeting, all the aspects & procedure of re-licensing was explained. The trust has agreed to re-license all these contents.

editThe meeting of key persons of the trust was called on 12 December (death anniversary of Sharad Joshi) at Ambethan (Village near Pune) to decide on the methodology and process of archive project. The participants were introduced to Wikimedia projects initially. The copyright issues and different licenses were discussed. The extensive discussions were conducted in the meeting for developing archive. Two trustees and two activists participated in the meeting. The meeting started on 11th evening and continued till 12th evening. The journey of Sharad Joshi & organisation was explained in detail by the members. The content was studied and then sorted into different categories. The category trees for both archives were created. The listing of books, manuscripts, reports, audios and videos has been started. The draft of the proposed MoU between us has been prepared in Marathi. They are ready to train their volunteers for uploading in Wikimedia Projects. The uploading sessions will be conducted with the volunteers. The initial draft of MoU was also prepared in the meeting.
The meeting of all trustees of Shetkari Sanghatana Trust was conducted on 2 February 2020 at Ambethan. All the aspects of MoU were discussed extensively. The MoU was signed by authorised signatories from both the parties. The schedule of implementation was also finalised in the meeting.
