Background

edit

User:Kavitha G. Kana participated in the Train the Trainer (TTT) program in 2023, where she contributed to discussions on topics such as relicensing and the digitalization of Tulu language texts. After returning from TTT in 2023, she continued her efforts on relicensing and digitalization with the support of CIS-A2K. To further her work and engage other community members, she organized one workshop for Kannada Wikisource. She then encouraged community members to join the Wikisource editing initiative. Following this, Kavita Ganesh initiated discussions with CIS-A2K regarding the development of a multilingual Wikisource project. CIS-A2K prepared a plan of engagement, identifying a potential trainer who, as a community member, had been working in an incubator and possessed substantial knowledge of Wikisource processes.
