CIS-A2K/Events/Digitisation training of Lek Ladki Abhiyan volunteers at Vigyan Ashram

One day training of six persons from Lek Ladki Abhiyan was conducted at Vigyan Ashram, Pabal on 6 August 2021. Wiki project coordinators Pooja Jadhav and Ayesha conducted the training. All the volunteers had actual experience of scanning and processing. One of the scanners was shifted to Satara and handed over to the Lek Ladki Abhiyan organisation. The scanning centre has been set up in the training facility, Muktangan of Lek Ladki Abhiyan. The scanning of the content to build 'Savitribai Phule Women's Archive' has been started. Together we are developing collaboration with 150+ year old Satara Public Library for public domain books. They have 1500+ rare books and many out of copyright books. They are ready to cooperate for the digitisation of the same. We hope, Satara scanning centre will cater to the content coming from Western Maharashtra districts.
