Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha is 120 year old organisation actively working for the upliftment of Jain community. The organisation head office is situated in Sangli, Maharashtra. They approached CIS-A2K to develop content related to Jain philosophy, monuments and literature on Wikimedia projects. The institution houses a rich library of 100 year old historical documents, images of monuments and manuscripts. A two hour session on introduction to Wikimedia projects and digitisation was conducted on 3 April 2022. Total 20 members including trustees, authors and volunteers attended the session. The institution has started sorting and cataloging of content and plans to set up digitisation centre in collaboration with us. The relicensing of books will also be taken up as part of this project.
