Regional report: CEE meet-up at Wikimedia Conference and spin-off projects

Traditional CEE meet-up at Wikimedia Conference

As part of Wikimedia Conference 2018 CEE Wikimedians held their traditional meet-up to provide updates from local communities as well as for discussing possible work on regional level. The topics included:

• Local activities update
• Update on upcoming CEEM 2018 in Lviv, Ukraine
• A proposal regarding holding an international WikiCamp for the CEE
• Discussion and comments on Wikimedia CEE Spring 2018
• Capacity building, mapping of current needs and challenges
• Brief introduction to Phase II of the movement strategy process
• Asaf provided a short introduction to Community Capacity Map

Cross-border CEE projects, planned during the Wikimedia Conference

During the Wikimedia Conference in April 2018 in Berlin, several new cross-border collaborations were planned between Wikimedians from different countries in the CEE region. All of these collaborations are open for other communities to join if they feel interested.
