Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

The scope provided by the Internet for educational purposes is increasing day by day. This tendency of using information and communication technologies (ICTs) is gaining ground with the development of Internet infrastructure and technologies. And by their increasing availability and use, students are expecting new ways and materials for enhancing their skills. Effective communication skill is an important life-skill required not only in one’s academic and professional career but also in one’s personal career. Engineering profession is highly dependent upon communication skills. Engineers must be able to report their ideas and designs clearly and succinctly to their subordinates, coworkers, supervisors, and clients. This paper discusses the scope of using information and communication technologies (ICTs) with reference to wikispaces (Storyline Project) in fostering Internet-based projects for learning English as a second Language (ESL) in technological institutes.
