Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage

Originally not planned. The overall cleaning of the existing structure and import of missing items was initiated to compensate for other imports that will be completed at a later stage.

Meaningfulness

	Diversifies the representation of knowledge on Wikimedia projects	ICH lists contain less well-represented heritage from all over the world, but which are through the Unesco nomination indisputably notable.
	Benefits Wikimedia projects and campaigns	The Unesco lists are referenced in most Wikipedias. Having machine-readable, consistent catalogues will help using them as a basis for Wiki Loves Folklore or related events.
	Engages specific volunteer communities	The Wikiproject WikiProject Intangible Cultural Heritage has a small community of volunteers signed up for maintaining it. Local Wikipedia communities, as well as those arranging Wiki Loves Folklore are very important as well.
	Contributes to capacity building	The Wikiproject documents the structures and allows individual communities to foster lists in their areas. It would be a good idea to create a "learning package" of the basics of ICH and how it is managed in Wikimedia projects.
	Promotes innovative new approaches	Through engagement with local & global actors around Unesco ICH as well as GLAM coordination in affiliates, new forms of engagement may be developed.
	Advocates for open content	Through engagement with local & global actors around Unesco ICH, the use of Wikimedia channels may be amplified.
