아프로크리에이티브 위키프로젝트는 아프리카 문화 및 창작 산업의 창작자와 전문가, 아프리카 문화 애호가를 지원하고 동원하여 위키백과에 아프리카의 창조 경제에 대한 지식을 제공하고 향상시키는 것을 목표로 합니다. 아프로크리에이티브는 아프리카 문화 및 창조 산업을 지원하기 위해 영향력 있는 단일 이니셔티브를 개발하는 비영리 단체인 아프리카 내러티브(The Africa Narrative, TAN)가 주도합니다.
AfroCreatives WikiProject’s initial focus is on African film, which will be followed by activities centered on African literature and African fashion. ACWP is spearheaded by The Africa Narrative (TAN), a non-profit dedicated to building capacity in the African creative economy and amplifying the global visibility of African cultural soft power.

ACWP +film’s first campaign launched in July 2022 and included Edit-a-thons in Nigeria, Rwanda, and Senegal.
In 2024 ACWP is expanding its activities through a series of campaigns in partnership with premier African film festivals. The first will take place in May in partnership with Festival panafricain du cinéma et de la télévision Ouagadougou (FESPACO), Africa’s largest film festival.
The collaboration is a first-of-its-kind for (FESPACO), scheduled in an “off-year” of its biennial festival.
