African Athletics WikiFocus 2024

African Athletics WikiFocus is a project initiated by the Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group to promote content creation around African Athletes on Wikimedia projects.

The project was launched in June 2024 during the 2024 African Championships in Athletics organized in Douala Cameroon from June 21 to June 26, 2024 in order to :

• create and improve Wikipedia articles about African athletes participating in the competition.
• Capture and upload photographs of the competition on Wikimedia Commons.

• 29th June : Edit-a-thon with the Club Wikipedia de Douala
