We’ll be running a two-day edit-a-thon on the French Wikipedia with only women attending and mostly new to Wikipedia and Wikimedia in general with two goals in mind:

• create awareness about climate change and its impact or effect on women as it’s better described here
• create awareness of Wikipedia editing as a way to contribute to fighting against climate change as well as gender inequity on the Internet

This project will focus on adding new entries and/or improving existing articles on climate change in Wikipédia:**Projet:République démocratique du Congo b**y adding for instance sources, images… The resources we’ll use can be found here.

The project will be carried out in the East of the DRC. Attendees will be 20 women from universities (among which 15 will be new to Wikipedia) and 5 men who will act as mentors and supporters.

I'm an environmental specialist from the University of Kisangani, I've been involved in the movement with fellow from Wikimedians of DRCongo UG. This is an individual grant request to train only women, what the UG does not do at all.

I'll find available man as BamLifa, Valnas and other from the user group to support the activity by acting as mentors.

The funds would be transferred to an individual bank account
