Description

The aim of this project is to create awareness of Climate Change and how its affect people and the environment in Ghana. There are a lot of factors that contribute to the adverse effects of Climate Change in Ghana and it is very worrying. Creating an awareness with the power of videos and photos can help go a long way in making people be mindful of the dangers associated with climate change.

Context

With the power of tools like Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, photos and videos captured in this project will be uploaded on Commons and linked to Wiki Data. These findings in terms of videos and photos realized through photowalk can be used in creating and improving on Wikipedia articles related to climate change issues in Ghana.

Team

• Bright Kwame Ayisi (User: Kwameghana) - A professional photographer based in Accra, Ghana. An experienced Wikimedian in various Wiki loves Africa campaigns and also Wiki Loves Monuments.
• Samuel Okoto - Treysam multimedia : - Professional Videographer based in Accra Ghana. A non Wikimedian who will help with the videos. He will be made to create an account.
• This a request is from an individual
• Funds would be transferred to an individual bank account

A total of 5 photowalks ( Western, Eastern, Greater Accra, Volta and Northern ) in these selected regions will be embarked on
