Description

The major aim of this project is to translate a Wikipedia article related to climate and the environment into Igbo language. I want to get accross to a wider audience in the language they understand perfectly

Context

Request for grant of 500USD

I wish to organize training or translation events in the month of March in order to contribute knowledge, images that will help to increase existing knowledge on climate change and environmental threats in Africa in Wikimedia projects.

I will organise a translate-a-thon and edit-a-thon to create and translate articles on climate change and the environment from the English Wikipedia to igbo wikipedia by engaging some members of the igbo wikipedia user group.
