This project is about edit-a-thons and Wikipedia trainings about climate change and environment in Bugesera district in Eastern province in Rwanda.Through the African Environment Day campaign and Wangari Maathai history, this is an opportunity to join this global campaign of addressing whether and environmental challenges facing the continent of Africa by increasing awareness about climate change and environment contents on Wikimedia projects, so that I plan to participate in this campaign by organizing the project that will hold edit-a-thons and trainings by improving or adding the contents on Wikipedia commons, Wikiquote, Wikidata and Wikipedia all related to the climate and environment change.

Also this project is a good place to participants to talk with, to exchange the ideas from our community member how to protect climate and environment in our movement strategies. in after all this session will help the participants or community to learn more about Wikipedia in general and also to increase the content on Kinyarwanda Wikipedia.

During this project our main aim are trainings and edit-a-thons the contents of Kinyarwanda Wikipedia and this project will facilitate to recruit new volunteers but also improving the skills of existing volunteers about Wikimedia commons, Wikiquote, Wikidata and Kinyarwanda Wikipedia contents about climate change and weather activists in Rwanda, environment activities and environmental protection companies. We will organize a 2-day of edit-a-thon generating contents about weather, climate change and environment topics all about Wikimedia commons, Wikiquote, Wikidata and Kinyarwanda Wikipedia contents and at the end we will give prizes.
