Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Renewal PhilWiki Community 2016

Whereas:

1. Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
2. On October 17, 2015, Philippine Wikimedia Community User Group (or PhilWiki Community) was recognized as Wikimedia User Group by the Affiliations Committee for a provisional 3-month period that finished on January 17, 2016;
3. The affiliation requirements for Wikimedia User Groups include annual renewal based on the annual activities report submitted by the group.

The group's first annual report demonstrates regular activity by the group in organizing activities and edit-a-thons in their initial period of recognition including outreach events in November and a couple Waray edit-a-thons held at Tacloban City and Palo, Leyte and launched a Wiki Takes photography event m:Grants:PEG/Irvin_Stotomas/Wikipedia_Takes_Rinconada/Report Wikipedia Takes Rinconada (funded by a WMF PEG grant) in December.

The current status and work performed by PhilWiki Community have been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;

They have fulfilled the minimum requirements to retain their status as a Wikimedia User Group;

The Affiliations Committee has determined that the Wikimedia User Group satisfies the requirements for renewal of its status as an affiliate.

Therefore be it resolved that the Wikimedia User Group status of PhilWiki Community is hereby renewed for a one-year term through January 17, 2017.
