Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Recognition of Women in Religion User Group

Whereas:
  1. Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
  2. Women in Religion User Group has submitted an application for recognition, which has been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
  3. The scope of the group, which can be found on their meta page, is "a diverse group of people of faith, agnostics, and atheists, from a variety of traditions and belief systems who are committed to closing information gaps that have affected cis and transgender women scholars, activists, and practitioners in the world's religious, spiritual, and wisdom traditions, especially in Wikipedia. The name: We know that eventually we will add much more than 1000 biographies of women religious on Wikipedia. At least that's our hope and prayer, anyway. The number "1000" is hyperbole, like when Christ tells Saint Peter in Matthew 18 in the New Testament that he must forgive others not just 70 times, but 70 times seven times.
