Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Recognition of Wikimedia Small Projects in Spanish User Group
- Whereas:
- Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
- Wikimedia Small Projects in Spanish has submitted an application for recognition, which has been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
- The scope of the group, which can be found on their meta page, is gather Wikimedians of distinct projects and their communities with the aim to promote them, improve their development and diffusion, collaborate between this group and coordinate actions in association with Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata as well as also collaborations with other chapters, thematic organisations, and user groups to execute such purposes and the language in which we mainly work is in Spanish, due to the fact that the vast majority of our members are Spanish-speaking, without ceasing to give reactive support to the other linguistic communities.

- With regard to Wikimedia Small Projects in Spanish's application for user group status and criteria:
- At least 3 active Wikimedia editors: CRITERION MET

- Compliance with naming guidelines and trademark policy: CRITERION MET
- Information about group published on a Wikimedia wiki: CRITERION MET
- Plans for activities or efforts to advance Wikimedia projects: CRITERION MET
- Allows new members: CRITERION MET
- Two designated contacts for Wikimedia Foundation: CRITERION MET
- It is the opinion of the Affiliations Committee that the group meets the requirements for Wikimedia User Group status.
- Therefore be it resolved that Wikimedia Small Projects in Spanish User Group is recognized as a Wikimedia User Group for a one-year, renewable period, effective on 23rd September 2021.
