Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Recognition of Wikimédiens du Bénin User Group
- Whereas:
- Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
- Wikimédiens du Bénin User Group has submitted an application for recognition, which has been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
- The scope of the group, which can be found on their meta page, is to develop at national scale a community of active contributors capable to edit articles about Bénin, its story, culture and people. Develop a community of volunteer developers to contribute to Mediawiki by fixing bugs, developing new gadgets and extensions. Promote Beninese indigenous languages on wikipedia and its sister projects by starting wiki in our own languages. Set partnerships with national and international institutions to promote both use and contributions to Wikipedia in schools and universities.;

- It is the opinion of the Affiliations Committee that the group meets the requirements for Wikimedia User Group status.
- Therefore be it resolved that Wikimédiens du Bénin User Group is recognized as a Wikimedia User Group for a one-year, renewable period, effective on 07 May 2019.
