Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/North Carolina Triangle Wikipedians User Group - Liaison approval, May 2015

Whereas:

1. Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
2. Two members of the Affiliations Committee assigned as liaisons to a Wikimedia User Group application may initially approve the application for up to one year;
3. The application of North Carolina Triangle Wikipedians User Group has been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee and was discussed on their application page on Meta;
4. The scope of the group, which can be found on their application page, is "This group aims to structure the many ad-hoc activities happening already, empowering all MediaWiki community members. We also aim to become a reference for edit-a-thon events already happening at UNC, Duke, and throughout The Triangle."; and
5. It is the opinion of the Affiliations Committee liaisons assigned to this application that the group meets the requirements for Wikimedia User Group status.

Therefore be it

resolved that North Carolina Triangle Wikipedians User Group is recognized as a Wikimedia User Group for a one-year, renewable, period that becomes effective when the Wikimedia User Group agreement and code of conduct are signed.
