Beginning in April 2018 at Wikimedia Conference in Berlin, the Affiliations Committee (AffCom) is experimenting with the use of Facebook to communicate with the Wikimedia community via @WikimediaAffCom
What the Affiliations Committee will be posting
Any member of the Affiliations Committee is authorized to post relevant statuses to the committee's Facebook account.
Relevant items include:
- Official news from the Affiliations Committee
- Posts from Wikimedia blogs relevant to Wikimedia movement affiliates
- Success stories from affiliates
- Helpful resources or experiences for affiliates
- Links to helpful resources for affiliates
Who the Affiliations Committee will follow
The Affiliations Committee account will only follow recognized or potential Wikimedia affiliates, projects, and entities - and only individuals directly connected to the Affiliations Committee. This is done to avoid accusations of endorsing individuals who may then come up for any community elections or candidacies.
