Endorsements (Wojciech Pędzich) edit

  1. Strong support Strong support Mr Pędzich is a veteran of the Wikimedia movement. An excellent communicator and definitely an asset to AffCom (or any other committee).--Jetam2 (talk) 12:40, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  2. Oppose Oppose Not active as a AffCom member in the current team and not supportive. NANöR (talk) 13:34, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Dear NANöR,
I know it's not usual to comment on an endorsement on this page. In my defense, it's probably not usual either to give a negative "endorsement".
I want to clarify that: for every interaction you may have had with Wojciech in the context of the Affcom, a collective decision from the Conflict subcommittee had been made beforehand.
Please be consistent and add a negative review to my own candidacy.

  3. Strong oppose I personaly know and like Wojciech already for years and consider him a friend and a capable human and I would love to endorse him. In the same time, I strongly suspect that AffCom is violating the Wikimedia Foundation Guiding Principles for last at least 3 years. That suspection was big part of my reason to apply to AffCom, in fact. And Wojciech Pędzich is part of that term of AffCom, so I am very careful. Generaly, I am not going to endorse anyone who applies for any role in WMF until they explicitly declare their commitment to the WMF Guiding Principles (even if implicit commitment may be clear, which in this case is not) or present a clear critique of them based on reasonable arguments and at least a basic proposal to improve the situation about the principles. If you answer my questions, I may change my endorsement. I strongly invite you to explicitly clarify your role in the suspected AffCom's violations (you can find a lot of examples in the AffCom mailinglist by searching something like "Do you consider that AffCom is aligned with WMF Guiding Principles"). Thanks for understanding, and I am very looking for your answer. --KuboF Hromoslav (talk) 23:01, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
