Editing Days

The first editing day, that get occurred on March 2, has resulted in three new articles and one improved template on the topic Family Relations which was contributed by one user. Returning at the subject geography, Meridians was on, and five articles got created out of two men. Next was Paintings by Johannes Vermeer. This ED was joined by two Wikipedians and they made four new creations of articles. Five days later, Circles of Latitude has occurred and one person contributed by doing six new articles. On the day of 16th, the ED Works by Frédéric Chopin was established and produced one new article. Five days later, the Types of Chairs ED gathered two people who created five articles and one template. Then on March 23, we had Works by Charles Dickens that has resulted with four created articles by two participants.

Focusing on the field of geography, we had European Roads Network which was participated by two people who created eight articles and one template. On the 30th of March, the Buildings by Le Corbusier ED occurred which was participated by two men who created four articles.

The outcome in March was 40 new articles, 2 created templates and 1 improved template.

Editing Weekends

On the first weekend of the month, we organized the Greek Мythology EW which was contributed with eight new articles and nine created templates out of two users. 20 articles were created by three participants at the weekend titled Ukraine. The weekend titled House Quarters has attracted two participants, who such as editors created six articles. The last EW was dedicated to Comics and got participated by two Wikipedians, a edition that covered two new articles.

The outcome in March was 36 new articles and nine new templates.

On March 6th, an old user contributed to the project, this time by uploading 4 images on Commons. On March 9th, a new user created a new article via source code editing. On March 17, a new user created an article via source core and also uploaded 13 photos on Commons.

In the first half of the month, an editing efforts were about about 2021's Galičnik edition. On March 6th, five articles were improved. On 10th, two articles were improved. The next day, one more article got improved.

On 15th, we returned of the prime goal - the Vevčani related articles. That day an engagement was made on the English-language Wikipedia and 11 articles were created and 1 article was improved.

Editing Competitions

During the period of February 10 to March 9, the Chemical Compounds EC was held. Eight people participated as contesters which achieved to created 335 new articles and to improve eight articles. The total participation in this engagement is 11 people of which two are new.

Wiki Loves Folklore 2023

From February 1 to March 31, this photo contest was held in Macedonia for the first time. 2,800 photos and 9 videos were uploaded. The total number of the Macedonian WLF 2023 is 23, of which 18 were competitors and 4 being the jury members. Here are the top three rated photos which are the prized ones.

The 2,809 files depicted folklore and folklore events, festivals, customs and costumes in the towns of Kumanovo, Štip (and its wider region), the villages of Konopnica and Galičnik (with its renowned Galičnik Wedding), Gurgurnica, Ljubanci, Vevčani, Volino, the Pelagonia region. Also, Macedonian folklore was covered from images made in neighbouring Albania. Many images portrayed ethnic minorities such as the Yörüks. Other images depicted dance performances of several folk dance studios.

Before the contest started, several sites announced the upcoming contest including: Novamakedonija.com.mk, Tetovoinfo.mk, Strugaonline.mk, Reporter.mk, Kumanovskimuabeti.mk, Info.mk, Netpress.com.mk, Umno.mk. Also, it was announced on Radio Skopje by our activist who was a guest on the radio.

On March 23, four people (one of them a new person) visited the Philip II of Macedon Arena and watched the match Macedonia vs. Malta during the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers. On that occasion, 13 encyclopedic photos of the match were taken and thus the stadium itself.

On March 31, articles about the Macedonian national football team players were covered. Then four articles were created, all done by one user.
