Proposal edit

Organise this year's affiliate selection by geographic area/constituency. We cannot map individual Wikipedian voters to geographic areas (privacy), but affiliates are already mapped to geographic areas. For example, we can create a Europe/Americas constituency with two seats, and Africa/MENA/Asia constituency with two seats (both areas have approximately equal number of affiliates). Candidates might not necessarily come from these regions but must get affiliate endorsements from affiliates belonging to that constituency. This way we will make sure candidates from underrepresented areas do get elected. The 2019 process should be a good basis for this — NickK (talk) 17:41, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
