Transfer all files from the "Kateqoriya:Fayllar:Vikianbara köçürülməli" on Azerbaijani Wikipedia to the Wikimedia Commons

edit

We need a bot to transfer all the files from the category az:Kateqoriya:Fayllar:Vikianbara köçürülməli to the Wikimedia Commons. We sorted all the files which meet the requirements for free license in this category.--Wertuose (talk) 13:19, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Base, Edgars2007, Masti, and Vodnokon4e:, can you please take a look at this request and advice us what to do next for the best solution of this issue? Thanks.--Wertuose (talk) 08:53, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Wertuose: overally looks good, and it seems to be an easy task. However, noticed w:az:Şəkil:Akif Bayramov.jpg, which has Şablon:Promo. We probably should skip those files. There may be some minor other issues. --Edgars2007 (talk) 14:05, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Wertuose:, I did it with the 2 smallest cats (3 and 29 files) - please check it here. And please tell me if all ok, before I copy the bigger cats. For adding categories in Commons - i just added PD-old-100 for this 29 file category, because I am not sure there are same categories in Commons as in your wiki. And second, the files will stay on your local wiki too - I have an option to add a delete template, but not to delete them - my bot is not an admin there. --Vodenbot (talk) 20:54, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And one more thing - if can grant me bot flag for this task - it will be nice. Otherwise there will be thousands edits in your Recent changes.--Vodenbot (talk) 21:30, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sortilegus:, zəhmət olmasa, Vodenbot adlı bota az-vikidə bot bayrağı verə bilərsənmi? Çünki həmin bot burdakı müraciətimə və bizim Kənd meydanındakı səsverməyə əsasən az-vikidən Vikianbara yüklənməli olan bütün şəkilləri ora köçürəcək, amma bizim son dəyişikliklər bölməsində minlərlə redaktənin görünməməsi üçün bot statusu olsun ki, bot redaktələrin içində getsin.--Wertuose (talk) 06:08, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Vodenbot:, I checked some photos you copied, thank you for great job) But details in "Comment" section of "Original upload log" and "File history" are confusing. Can we somehow correct it? If it's possible to add delete template, then you can add it with following comment: "Bu təsvir Vodenbot vasitəsilə Vikianbara köçürüldüyü üçün silinməsi təklif edilir."--Wertuose (talk) 06:08, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Edgars2007:, thank you for reminding this issue. If it is not hard for you, can you make a list of photos which are in both categories: Promo şəkillər and Fayllar:Vikianbara köçürülməli? I will check and delete all unnecessary Promo templates, and/or categories.--Wertuose (talk) 06:08, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Wertuose:, bot statusu verdim.--Sortilegus (talk) 15:38, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Here they are, Wertuose. --Edgars2007 (talk) 10:06, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Wertuose:, I spenf 2-3 days on this and I tried to fix these 3 issues you mentioned, but it seems with no success. The original upload log is copying the text from the field from original file. And for File history comment - the script is sending all the data to [1] and creating automatic description from it - as other tools. And this description is put in Comment - what the bot did, from where, etc. And it really seems too long and is looking strange. I dont have any option to change the flow to commonshelper and back - I tried several times, until I received a warning that uploaded files are missing essential information :-)). For the delete template - the message again is automatic in the template (probably from wikitranslate - "Fayl, commons saytına keçirildi."). So tell me in this case should I continue with this kind of issues, or maybe we can search some other way? At least with this script transfer is possible, but not perfect I would say. --Vodenbot (talk) 14:11, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The funny thing is that now the bot was blocked for one week in Commons. I just received a message. Even if I marked the unsuccessful attempts for deletion. --Vodnokon4e (talk) 17:14, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You were transferring files to Commons all without description, without adding categories and without vital source/authorship information, so that the copyright situation was unclear. I asked you to do proper after care, but you continued the faulty transfers. Then I gave you a clear warning, but you continued anyway. That's why you are blocked. If vital source/authorship information is missing at AZ Wiki, you cannot transfer such a file to Commons, with or without a bot. First sort out the files where the are and only transfer files to Commons when they are ready. Jcb (talk) 19:57, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
